FOTD: lush colour supplement & bare escentuals playlist palette

Hello, lovelies! Hope you all are having a fantastic Friday/Veteran's Day/11-11-11, etc. Unfortunately, I still have two days of work left before my weekend - I can't wait! I bought practically nothing last week, so I can't wait to shop!  If you're curious, here's what's at the top of my wish list:

Okay, enough of that.  I wanted to another (read: better; read: took longer than 3 minutes) FOTD using the LUSH Colour Supplement, which on day 3 is still rocking my world. I also wanted to show you another new Bare Escentuals product that I'm loving to death - the Ready 8.0 The Playlist palette.  Um, AMAZING. Bare Escentuals has SO upped their game!

Ha! This is such a "Bitch, please" face.

This is the Bare Escentuals Playlist palette.  It's my first foray into Bare Escentuals pressed eyeshadows, and I'm thoroughly impressed! These are smooth, soft, and very pigmented! And, now this is rare, I love every shade in the palette! The only one I have yet to use is the red on the bottom left, but I do love reds, and I'm sure I'll be using it soon.  It's basically the perfect holiday palette.  The packaging is super sleek and slim, with a huge mirror as well. Love it, love it, love it. Oh, I did want to point out that some shadows seem to look better applied wet, like shade #3. Dry it looked kind of flat, but wet it was gorgeous! I always recommend trying shadows wet (i.e. with a wet brush) before discarding them as not-so-great. It doesn't work for everything, but when it does, it's worth the effort!

Top: Shades 1-4; Bottom: Shades 5-8

I busted out my Fresh Strawberry Flowers perfume today.  Why I am so into spring/summer scents right now? Shouldn't it be all about cozy, spicy scents? Oh well!

Oh, and another thing, this happened:

And this:

And this was spotted:

You better believe I tore this down "as a soon is possible"!

And, lastly, this is what I wake up to:

Get up, lazy!

Alright, that's all for today.  Thanks for reading and have a great weekend, loves!

xoxo,
<3 Jess

  4. I love your FOTDs. Your makeup always look perfect and very true to your own aesthetic. Also, you now have me wanting the BE palette. >.< Do I need need it? I literally don't have room in my vanity for more stuff. It's..batshit. OH, and RPC GL 108 is like Rose Bergamasque but glowing. I did a gasp when I put it on, and I'm not a gasper. I can't wait to hear what you think about it! <333 xxx

  5. No Drought = way better than I thought. Melts into my hair & I love the smell. Ro's Argan is another fave. My legs are smooth. Though I have found its best it take a bath, towel dry off & while the water is draining, put it on & let it soak in. After a few minutes I rinse off quickly. I don't get the same effect when I use in shower. You can also use pre-shower too. Either way, love it. :)

  6. First off, I am such a dork. The names of the shades in the palette are on the back of the compact! I've been using it all week and I just noticed it today. Oy vey.

Mom - It's working! Yay!! The tree is pleased.

Amber - I'm really interested in the Cocktail Hour one after being so wow'ed by this one! I'm really loving Lush at the moment! Obsessed, really!

Sarah - They love the attention! :D

Rachel - Ditto to you on the first part. I love it, but I wouldn't say you NEED it.. but I would definitely swatch it if you come across it. Although, applied wet they are AMAZING. I'm going to try to pick up 108 when I go out tomorrow (today.. you know how that gets confusing when you're an insomniac..). I did a gasp when I saw it on you!!

Andie - I ordered No Drought with my forum fragrance order - so glad to hear you like it! I was sold after reading reviews on the site! One of the forum fragrances I ordered was Rose Jam, so I'm going to hold off (for now!) on Ro's Argan, although I'll probably get it at some point, knowing me... Thanks for the tips on how to use it!
