The Wizarding World of Harry Potter: A Day in Pictures

I finally got to see The Wizarding World of Harry Potter this past Thursday thanks to my friend Tiffany, and it blew me away! I thought I'd share my pictures here. :)

Some lowly Muggle...

Mandrakes

Hippogriff

The Sorting Hat

Butterbeer!

White Chocolate Skulls

Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans

Fizzing Whizbees (chocolate filled with pop rocks!)

Pumpkin Juice (tastes like cider w/mulling spices)

Fish & Chips <3

I spy Hogwarts...

I liked these Betty Boop prints from one of the Citywalk shops.

The only thing I brought home with me - a white chocolate skull. :) It looks too pretty to eat, but I love me some white chocolate, so I'll have to give in at some point!

After the park, we went to see The Help.  I loved it - it definitely did the book justice.  Viola Davis deserves an Oscar for her role as Aibileen.  And I warn you, you WILL leave hungry for fried chicken!! After the movie, I headed home, and not joking, I was in bed by 11 PM (which is crazy early for me).  It was a busy day, and I was exhausted! haha  But it was so worth it! :)

xoxo,
<3 Jess

The white chocolate skull is SO freakin' cute. Now that you have a picture of it you won't feel TOO bad eating it ;D

  5. Nora - that was my thinking exactly! haha It's still sitting pretty in my fridge right now, though...

Aleksis - Butterbeer is basically cream soda with butterscotch (which is mostly in the frothy foam on top - the best part in my opinion!). It was really good! I've never been to Halloween Horror Nights, because - to make a long story short - I used to have seizures at night when I was growing up (don't anymore), and I'm really sensitive to light because of it. Strobe lights are the worst - I hate them! And unfortunately, haunted houses and the like are always loaded with strobe lights, UGH. Otherwise I would definitely go!

  6. Ahhhh memories! I just went there in January! That castle roller coast ride was AH-mazing! I wish I were an actual Harry Potter fan because so many of the awesome little details were lost on me, but it was cool nonetheless. I liked the singing frogs :D
Love the pictures you took, and the white chocolate skull looks om nom nom!

  7. I've read all the books & seen all the movies, but I was so overwhelmed by it all that I probably wouldn't have noticed all the little details if my friend hadn't pointed them out to me! (She'd been a few times before - her boyfriend works at Universal.) If you ever come to Orlando again, you'll have to get in touch with me so we can meet up! :)

  8. Love the pictures! It looks a lot cooler than I expected. The butterbeer sounds yummy! LOVE white chocolate - but not sure I'd want to eat a skull.

Glad you enjoyed The Help - still not sure I want to see it.

  10. Oh no! Was/is it epilepsy? I'd love to proof ride the houses before you went in...like okay this one is safe, or close your eyes for a second... lol p.s. the butterbeer sounds amazing...I love both butterscotch and cream soda..YUM!

  11. Yeah, I had a rare form - "benign nocturnal epilepsy" - meaning I only had seizures at night and it only lasted from age 8 to around 14, I think. I did have a seizure in the afternoon once, though, too - I had just gotten home from school and when I walked upstairs, I collapsed (apparently didn't get enough sleep the night before). So funny you mention proof riding - I used to have my friends hold my hand during haunted houses so I could close my eyes during the strobe light parts! The butterbeer was definitely worth trying - I honestly would have loved it even more if it had been half-froth, half-liquid - the frothy part was SOOO good!
