lip swatch overload!

These are the lip swatches that coincide with the lipsticks shown in this haul post. You can see why I didn't include them in that post - too damn many! >_< No swatch of the Caudalie lip conditioner, as it's totally clear! The rest are mostly in the same order that they're shown in the post, aside from MAC Viva Glam Nicki Minaj, which I swatched last, as it leaves a stain on the lips! I also didn't swatch MAC Watch Me Simmer, because I already featured a swatch in this post.

Hope this was helpful! If you have any questions about any of the lipsticks shown (or about any lipstick period, really), please feel free to ask - as you guys know, I love talking about lipstick! ;)

Thanks for not running away scared at the influx of macro lip photos!! ;)

xoxo,
<3 Jess

  2. Please stop, you make me buy so many pretty lipsticks and I end up disappointed because my lips aren't gorgeous like yours! I love the new YSL Glossy Stains, you have me hooked on YSL for real

  3. I really love the soft shine of the Shu Uemura lipstick - what's the wear time like? Also - you don't have to answer this but I'm just really curious - how many lipsticks are currently in your collection?? :)

    1. Last question first - I honestly don't know, I don't make a habit of counting them! Let's just say a lot. ;) I think the Shu Uemura has great wear. Don't want to give you an exact timeframe, because I'm not sure offhand, but I remember it lasting a good length of time without any fading.

  10. I really like the MUFE n21. How do you feel about the formulation and where did you buy it? It looks like the Sephora website doesn't have that shade.

    1. I got them from the Guru Emporium store. For the non-lipstick-obsessed, I would suggest waiting for them to hit Sephora (I think they're slated for April/May, but don't quote me on that!), as they will be cheaper that way. I, however, saw a friend's post on N40 and knew I couldn't wait that long! >_<

    1. I was talking about them on Twitter recently, and I'm just gonna copy & paste my "final thoughts" on them here! I can appreciate them as an innovative new product, and i definitely appreciate the color range, but bottom line: I hate stains. I hate sticky. And after about an hour of wear, they're both. :\ (I also find them tricky to apply evenly, although I haven't tried any darker shades.) I just prefer straight-up lipstick. Hope that helps!

  16. FUDGE! Do I need VG Nicki? Satins dry my lips out like none other, but is this one magically less....crazy drying? As always, I'm apoplectic over all these gorgeous lips on the page. Every. Single. Time. <333 xxx

    1. I think it's a little less drying than other satins I've tried, but... it's still drying, fo' sho. Despite that, I definitely recommend buying it just for that rare moment of feeling like you're doing something good for the world by buying a lipstick. I doubt I'll wear it much, but it's definitely a great bright pink. I love that it's yellow-toned instead of blue. O/T, I'm having a battle with myself, because I'm so f-ing in love with the Shu CR310 that I want more colors. However, as we've discussed, ordering from their website is poop. Aaaand I hear there will be more shades released next month. BLARGH.

    2. Oh oh! Aaaand (enabling alert!) I just did a FOTD vid wearing the Dior Addict Extreme in Saint Tropez (Sephora exclusive) - I love it! I think Lucky would look great on you, too. Incognito made me look corpse-like, however. :P

  17. omg, i just discovered your blog today (after a google image search for "wet n wild megashield lip color within these adobe walls" and i'm so in love. your blog is by far my new favorite of all. Your personal style and blog's art direction (and content) are stunning and inspirational. I was beginning to lean a little too much into my tomboy side, but reading several of your posts has ignited the anima (girl) back in me. So pretty and practical - you're a doll, thanks!
