have i mentioned i love sundays?

I had to run over to David's Bridal yesterday to try on my bridesmaid dress for my cousin's wedding in July. They didn't have the color I needed, but I tried on the style and it fit great! :) I felt really lucky to not be a bride, because HOLY CRAP was that place a madhouse. A line to get in the door! Helllll no.

Here's the OOTD (outfit of the day):

(the sticker was on the mirror, not my bag! lol)

Sweater & Sweater Vest: Target
Belt: NY&Co.
Jeans: Mixit (JCPenney)
Bag: Merona (Target)
Necklace: Target! I tend to be a walking billboard....
Bracelets: bangle, Target; magnet chain, Ann Taylor Loft
Flats: Gianni Bini

Well, since David's Bridal is right across from Target and Mall at Millenia... you know I couldn't just head home! Believe it or not, all I got at Target was essentials/grocery items. (Please refrain from gasping in shock.) But at Mall at Millenia, I did grab a few fun things. :)

I went to Sanrio again (I know, I thought I grew out of Hello Kitty... I guess not!!), and picked up the CUTEST tote:

Sorry for the cuh-RAP picture -- it was taken in my poorly-lit bedroom with my phone.

I also snagged a 3-pack of file folders with images of Hello Kitty from different years, celebrating her 30th anniversary. Cute!

Next to Sanrio is Blooming Beauty, a very daaaaangerous and wonderful place. Nail polish everywhere!! I snagged three bottles, then high-tailed it out of there before it got out of hand.

The shades I picked out were OPI Barefoot in Barcelona, Essie Van D'Go, and from the highly-anticipated (by me!) Alice in Wonderland collection by OPI -- Mad as a Hatter.

A pic of the bottles:

And swatched on nails:

Essie Van D'Go

There was something familiar about Van D'Go, and sure enough, it's the shade twin of one of my favorite nude lipsticks, Lorac Babydoll:

On the way out of the mall, I cut through Macy's, and of course had to walk by the handbags. I'm really craving a black leather Juicy Couture wallet, but managed to walk by that section unscathed (it helps when it doesn't fit the budget!). However, I did find something that I couldn't go home without:

These Betsey Johnson earrings were just such a wonderful mixture of girly-cute (pink eyes and pink heart bellies!) and badass (spiders, duh!). Love them!

I also wanted to share something else SUPERCUTE that I saw but didn't get. Coach's Poppy line has a new line of products out featuring cartoon superhero-type girls with cute names (Pinky, Pepper, Minty) and fun hair to match.

Spy the cuteness?

I went to Coach's website to find out more about the line, and here's a collage (a collage! I'm such a nerd!) of some of my favorites:

So cute! I think if I were to ever get anything from this line, it'd probably just be the key fob, because I hate to say it, but I think it's almost too young for me. I can't believe I'm saying that!!

I didn't paint my nails this weekend (which turned out to be a good thing, since I got new polishes to swatch!), and I also forgot to take a close-up of the day's makeup. Ooops! For my own reference (and in case you're interested, too, I guess!), here's what I wore:

Face: MUFE HD foundation + MAC MSF Natural in Medium (also used a bit of MAC Studio Finish concealer under eyes and on blemishes before applying powder), MAC Strada blush as bronzer/contour, Shu Uemura MPeach44 blush, MAC MSF in Light Flush

Eyes: MAC Painterly paint pot, MAC Cross Cultural, Showstopper, & All Races eyeshadows, MAC Blacktrack Fluidline (top), MUFE Aqua Eyes in 18L (under eyes), Sephora soft eye pencil (shimmery pink) on inner eyes, Lancome Hypnose Drama + Givenchy Phenom'eneyes mascara

Lips: Illamasqua Filth + MAC Glamour For All lipglass (gotta get a backup for this -- I've been using it pretty much every day since I got it!)

That's all for now, ladies and gents. Hope you're enjoying your Monday! :)

  1. Okay, here's what you need to do - put together a book called "Jessica's Fitting Room Tour." You've got enough pictures taken in fitting rooms to fill at least one volume!

Love the post, and all the cute stuff - especially the earrings.
