I had to run over to David's Bridal yesterday to try on my bridesmaid dress for my cousin's wedding in July. They didn't have the color I needed, but I tried on the style and it fit great! :) I felt really lucky to not be a bride, because HOLY CRAP was that place a madhouse. A line to get in the door! Helllll no.
Here's the OOTD (outfit of the day):
(the sticker was on the mirror, not my bag! lol)
Sweater & Sweater Vest: Target
Belt: NY&Co.
Jeans: Mixit (JCPenney)
Bag: Merona (Target)
Necklace: Target! I tend to be a walking billboard....
Bracelets: bangle, Target; magnet chain, Ann Taylor Loft
Flats: Gianni Bini
Well, since David's Bridal is right across from Target and Mall at Millenia... you know I couldn't just head home! Believe it or not, all I got at Target was essentials/grocery items. (Please refrain from gasping in shock.) But at Mall at Millenia, I did grab a few fun things. :)
I went to Sanrio again (I know, I thought I grew out of Hello Kitty... I guess not!!), and picked up the CUTEST tote:
Sorry for the cuh-RAP picture -- it was taken in my poorly-lit bedroom with my phone.
I also snagged a 3-pack of file folders with images of Hello Kitty from different years, celebrating her 30th anniversary. Cute!
Next to Sanrio is Blooming Beauty, a very daaaaangerous and wonderful place. Nail polish everywhere!! I snagged three bottles, then high-tailed it out of there before it got out of hand.
The shades I picked out were OPI Barefoot in Barcelona, Essie Van D'Go, and from the highly-anticipated (by me!) Alice in Wonderland collection by OPI -- Mad as a Hatter.
A pic of the bottles:
And swatched on nails:
Mad as a Hatter & Barefoot in Barcelona
Essie Van D'Go
There was something familiar about Van D'Go, and sure enough, it's the shade twin of one of my favorite nude lipsticks, Lorac Babydoll:
On the way out of the mall, I cut through Macy's, and of course had to walk by the handbags. I'm really craving a black leather Juicy Couture wallet, but managed to walk by that section unscathed (it helps when it doesn't fit the budget!). However, I did find something that I couldn't go home without:
These Betsey Johnson earrings were just such a wonderful mixture of girly-cute (pink eyes and pink heart bellies!) and badass (spiders, duh!). Love them!
I also wanted to share something else SUPERCUTE that I saw but didn't get. Coach's Poppy line has a new line of products out featuring cartoon superhero-type girls with cute names (Pinky, Pepper, Minty) and fun hair to match.
Spy the cuteness?
I went to Coach's website to find out more about the line, and here's a collage (a collage! I'm such a nerd!) of some of my favorites:
So cute! I think if I were to ever get anything from this line, it'd probably just be the key fob, because I hate to say it, but I think it's almost too young for me. I can't believe I'm saying that!!
I didn't paint my nails this weekend (which turned out to be a good thing, since I got new polishes to swatch!), and I also forgot to take a close-up of the day's makeup. Ooops! For my own reference (and in case you're interested, too, I guess!), here's what I wore:
Face: MUFE HD foundation + MAC MSF Natural in Medium (also used a bit of MAC Studio Finish concealer under eyes and on blemishes before applying powder), MAC Strada blush as bronzer/contour, Shu Uemura MPeach44 blush, MAC MSF in Light Flush
Eyes: MAC Painterly paint pot, MAC Cross Cultural, Showstopper, & All Races eyeshadows, MAC Blacktrack Fluidline (top), MUFE Aqua Eyes in 18L (under eyes), Sephora soft eye pencil (shimmery pink) on inner eyes, Lancome Hypnose Drama + Givenchy Phenom'eneyes mascara
Lips: Illamasqua Filth + MAC Glamour For All lipglass (gotta get a backup for this -- I've been using it pretty much every day since I got it!)
That's all for now, ladies and gents. Hope you're enjoying your Monday! :)

a (narcissistic? haha) style post
Happy Monday (eeearly Tuesday?), everyone!
So... I used to participate in a flickr group called "Wardrobe Remix," where you post pictures of your outfits. It was so much fun to look back at clothes I'd worn and see how my style changed over time.
Similarly, I thought it might be fun to post some photos that show my personal style. I always love seeing other people's outfits, too! :) (By the way, I often take pics in fitting rooms because of the full-length mirrors! These are actually my clothes! haha)
The first outfit is what I wore today. :)

lazy sunday
Today is the MOST BEAUTIFUL DAY. However, I've chosen to spend it watching movies (Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging is so cute!), taking down Christmas decorations, and doing a makeup look for this blog just for fun. :)
So here it is, a super-smokey eyes FOTD:
Eyes: MAC Blackground Paint Pot as base (smudged on with fingers for a messier look), MAC Black Tied eyeshadow, Stila Golden Noir smudge pot (applied with eyeliner brush above and below eyes, then smudged with brush), MAC Blackground smudged over eyeliner, Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara, Givenchy Phenom'eneyes as top coat (this combo creates INSANE lashes!)
Face: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (in Medium); MAC Strada blush (as bronzer)
Lips: ELF Natural Nymph lipstick, MAC Glamour For All lipglass
NOTD:
Light Affair by MAC from the Love Lace collection (a new acquisition and new fave!)

yikes! long time, no blog!
Follow my blog with bloglovin!
I e-mailed Mom some pics I took today with my phone, and when she replied "You better be posting these on your blog," I realized how long it's been since I posted. Holy crap! Well, abandoned blog no more. :)
Today I went out to grab a few things (dog treats, drain cleaner, hand cream...), and somehow ended up at MAC first. What else is new??? Anyways, I was really proud of myself: I only bought ONE thing! The one thing? A lipglass from the just released All Ages, All Races, All Sexes collection called "Glamour For All." Christine from Temptalia posted a review of the lipglasses here.
Possibly my favorite buy of the day though was something totally unexpected:
These rings were from the Sanrio store (which I hadn't visited in MONTHS -- can't believe the willpower that took) and each about $5! A total steal for such cuteness, in my opinion. :) The one in the center is a mood ring.
So... I have lots of big news since the last post I made, but I'll sum it up REALLY quickly. 1) My boyfriend got called to work on a cruise ship in Hawaii and he'll be gone until APRIL. TORTURE. 2) My family visited for Christmas and it was one of the best I've had. I wish I could have them around more often for sure! :) 3) I also got some AMAZING, UNBELIEVABLY thoughtful and generous gifts, including my newly beloveds:
**note: I will be making the payments! I'm not THAT spoiled, okay?
and...
amongst other lovely and well-loved things!
Before I go, I'll leave you with an Outfit & Face of the Day. :)
Outfit of the Day:
Dress: Gap
Sweater: Style & Co. (Macy's)
Scarf: J.Crew
Tights: Target
Boots: Target
Bag: Juicy Couture
Rings: Sanrio
Face of the Day:
Face: Revlon PhotoReady foundation, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural, MAC Strada blush (to contour), Illamasqua Katie blush, MAC Petticoat Mineralize Skinfinish
Eyes: MAC Painterly paint pot (as base), Urban Decay Lounge e/s (all over lids and in waterline), MAC Club e/s (in crease and outer corners), MAC Spell No.9 from the Smoke & Mirrors palette to the eyebrow, white pencil in inner corners of eye (to highlight), MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack on top, Make Up For Ever burgundy waterproof pencil (can't remember the specific name and too lazy to go check! oops!) on waterline
Lips: mix of Illamasqua Filth and MAC Snob lipsticks, MAC Glamour for All lipglass
Bonus! Nails of the Day -- OPI Mod About You (one of my favorites!).
The gloves are from the etsy shop Coquelicot Salon. I got them last February and have barely used them -- grateful for this cold streak if only for the opportunity to wear them more! :)
Guess that's all for tonight!
Rest well, lovelies!
(ack, no makeup!)
xoxo,
Jess & Sparky
